Closing Time

Another image inspired by the book Fragile Things.

"Hanging from the door was a metal knocker. It was painted crimson, and had been cast in the shape of some kind of imp, some kind of grinning pixie or demon..."

Wagamama t-shirt design competition

Entry into Wagamama's uniform t-shirt design competition. They wanted a design that didnt look like a uniform and 'a cool t-shirt – simple as that!'. I forgot completely about the deadline on this one so managed to put this together in under an hour. I adapted an old image from my 2nd year portfolio making it more relevant to the brief.

The Flints of Memory Lane

Another image inspired by the book Fragile Things. The Flints of Memory Lane tells of a ghost standing under a street light dressed as a gypsy queen. "... dressed like something from a dream, and still she said nothing at all. She began to smile, though, and it was not a nice smile."

Illustration Friday - Infinite

Entry illustrating the word 'Infinite'. I wanted to go away from my collage style and back to experimenting with pen and ink. The idea highlights the saying 'how long is a piece of string' implying it can be as long as you like.
